How To Remove Shortcut Virus From Pendrive/PC USING COMMAND PROMPT..!!

Nowadays,when we use pendrives and the other sort of hard drives in our laptops we find out that there are shortcuts which malfunctions the normal flow of the processes.

the first question arises is that from where does this type of shortcut virus comes from and the other question is that how can we remove shortcut virus from our drives.

WHAT IS SHORTCUT VIRUS?
It is a kind of malware which hides the original files of ours inside our shortcuts. How that virus hides the original files is known but the effect which causes is quite visible to us.

Shortcut virus can also sometimes delete our original data.

Initially, it doesn’t harms your files but later on, it may make them corrupt or even delete all the files; depends on the type of shortcut virus.

REMOVAL OF SHORTCUT VIRUS USING COMMAND PROMPT..



Step 1: Go to Start Type “Run” > Type “CMD”

Then ,Open Command Prompt in the Administrative Mode.

Step 2: there will be a black coloured window that will be opened for you.

Step 3: you have to Type in Command prompt :  attrib -h -r -s /s /d <Your USB drive letter>:\*.*(See <Your USB drive letter> from My computer and then type it For ex, if your drive letter is “D” then the command is like: ” attrib -h -r -s /s /d D:\*.* “)

To know about this command Type ” attrib /? ”
We can take an  Example :- If My removable disk drive (pendrive) has a Latter of “F” then you have to use USB Drive Letter “F”.

It is the most simple method with which you can remove shortcut virus.

While you are using this attribute your System files may or maynot be Remove some virus from FAT32 & NTFS.
